More than 400 participants attend European Venture Philanthropy Association’s 6th annual conference

The convergence of philanthropy (not-for-profit) and social investment with a double bottom line (for profit with a non-profit soul) was the theme of the day's talks given notably by Jacqueline Novogratz (Acumen Fund), Percy Barnevik (Hand in Hand) and Sir Ronald Cohen (Bridges Venture). The event provided Luxembourg with the opportunity to position itself as the future hub of the impact financing industry.

A key event

Representatives from the world of private equity, venture capital and foundations from more than 35 countries crossed the threshold of the Luxembourg’s New Congress Centre on 16-17 November to participate in round tables and workshops organised by the EVPA. The challenges facing the impact financing sector were discussed during a round table based on conclusions of a survey commissioned by European Impact Financing Luxembourg  conducted by the Swiss company AlphaMundi.
